Katya Marsh, MS, NCC

she/her/hers

Hello! I’m Katya, a pre-licensed psychotherapist with Vermont Wellness. I see clients out of our Burlington office and work with individuals and couples.

My work is grounded in a relational approach and utilizes contemporary psychodynamic theory to help people learn about themselves, identify their patterns, and understand the origins of their problems. I aim to build a therapeutic connection with clients that is rooted in trust and safety to provide a secure foundation for psychotherapy. With compassion, respect, and curiosity, I explore with clients how early and current relationships inform their sense of self and ways of being with others.

While I primarily work from a psychodynamic orientation, I also draw from other perspectives, such as systems-based theories and a feminist lens, to help inform my approach.

I offer psychotherapy to both individuals and couples to develop a greater awareness of themselves, interrupt difficult patterns and cycles, strengthen communication, and foster connection. I commonly work with problems of depression, anxiety, questions of identity and belonging, transitions, relational trauma, issues with family of origin, interpersonal challenges with friends, partners, or others. Importantly, I welcome all to my practice and will offer non-judgmental support to meet a diverse array of needs.
